Based on Microsoft Windows XP Professional, CAVS JB-199 Server connects simultaneously with 9 JB-199 Client players, forming a network suitable for maximum of 10 karaoke (KTV) rooms in a location. The Server unit has the advantage to store 100,000 song data inside and share the data with all Client units connected. No more hassle of managing and updating song library of multiple JB-199s. JB-199 Server provides hassle free and money saving opportunity for your karaoke.

How many JB-199s can be connected as client?
Total of 9 JB-199s can be used as client.

Can you also use server to play songs?
Yes, JB-199 Server can be used just like a client.

How do you play songs simultaneously from 10 JB-199s?
It is like having 10 JB-199s with songs in each of its hard drive, except in Server-Client version, only JB-199 Server stores songs in its hard drive. All other JB-199 Clients will share the songs in the Server. You could play the same or different songs, at anytime from up to 10 JB-199s.

I already own JB-199(s). Can it become a client? Or server?
Yes, any JB-199 can become a client with software upgrade and proper setting change; however, JB-199 Server need to be integrated from the factory and can not be self made.

Could you move song library from existing JB-199 to JB-199 Server?
Yes, if you already own a JB-199, you could transfer its songs to JB-199 Server. For detail, refer to page 10 in the manual.

What type of router or switch is needed for Server-Client connection?
Any router or switch is acceptable as long as it is 10/100 Mbps Ethernet compatible and have the number of ports at least equal to the number of JB-199 Server and Client(s) combined.

What is the benefits of having Server-Client rather than multiple JB-199s?
First, imagine how much money you could save by having one song library and share it from up to 10 JB-199s. Then, imagine how much time you could save by only managing one song library. Want to add more songs or edit song list? Now, all you need is to work with the songs in server without worrying with JB-199 Clients.
